Trillium Goldens is
located in the beautiful and scenic Columbia River Gorge just
outside of Portland, Oregon. We purchased our first Golden
Retriever in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1981 and immediately fell
in love with this near perfect breed. Buck lived to be almost
13 years old and solidified our belief that Golden Retrievers
are the best companion dog there is. He was intelligent, gentle
and kind to all creatures he encountered.
“
In
1992, we purchased our first registered show dog – Am/Can Ch.
Winfield’s MVP Cooperstown, NA, NAJ from our friends and
mentors, John Riedl and Rebecca Hillyer at Winfield Goldens.
Cooper was our first Champion, first
agility titled dog
and even though he is gone now,
remains first
in our hearts.
Cooper is the
foundation for all
that Trillium Goldens is and ever will
be. His structure was near perfect, his
movement was easy and effortless, and most of all his
temperament was impeccable – he made friends wherever he went;
and every person and every dog that came into contact with
Cooper, smiled and embraced him.
We are committed to
preserving this great breed, as the GRCA
(Golden Retriever Club of America)
standard sets forth and have been active for
many years in the
“sport of dogs,” competing in
both conformation
and agility. Our goal as breeders is
to maintain healthy, happy and
versatile Goldens and
to provide the same
as companions to families throughout the
Northwest and beyond.
We also give to our local
Golden Retriever rescue organization,
Golden Bond Rescue
and recommend that you consider adopting an adult Golden
Retriever if a puppy is not a good fit for your current home
situation.
